Your Fall Treatment Plan: Why and How to Repair Your Skin This Season

Skin experts weigh in on why clients should book treatments in the fall to get holiday and summer-ready.

Your Fall Treatment Plan

You’re back from summer with a few new sunspots or rougher texture, and you’re wondering what’s worth booking before the holidays. Experts across the Vos Collection network weighed in on what to prioritize this fall, and when to start.

Why timing matters

Why timing matters

Many aesthetic treatments work by prompting your skin to build new collagen, and that doesn’t happen overnight. Results from biostimulators and skin tightening build gradually over months, so starting in the fall gives them time to show by the holidays, with more to come by next summer.

Summer booking data across Vos Collection clinics reinforces this shift, with skin-tightening and biostimulator treatments both seeing double-digit growth. Fall is the time to build on that momentum. With less intense sun, this season provides time for multiple sessions, recovery and collagen remodeling, which happens gradually over the months after treatment.

This means a treatment plan created now can address post-summer skin concerns, deliver results in time for the holidays and continue building toward next summer.

Light and laser treatments

Take advantage of fall for light and laser treatments

Whether it was a Euro vacation, sunny weekends spent in the comfort of home, or somewhere else entirely, the summer sun may have left behind beautiful memories. But it sometimes also leaves souvenirs no one asked for: hyperpigmentation, dullness or uneven texture.

And first up to be recommended by clinical aesthetic experts: light and laser treatments.

“A lot of IPL and lasers clean up summer sun damage,” observes Beverly Hills-based nurse practitioner at Ava MD, Christine Nell.

These procedures can be used to address hyperpigmentation and sun damage, texture and other visible signs of aging.

While these can be done year-round with the right planning and diligent sun protection, light and laser treatments are a natural fit for fall. This is because the sun is less intense this time of year, which makes treated skin easier to protect. Cooler weather also means more layers, hats and scarves, which add extra coverage outdoors.

In her experience, Michelle Ruffino, a physician assistant at Impressions Face + Body in Chicago, sees a clear seasonal pattern: “Often patients want to avoid downtime procedures in the summer months, so [we] definitely focus on lasers like CO2 and add PDRN, peptides and CO2Lift to minimize downtime.”
Dr. Vanessa Abdelhalim, medical director at Martin’s Rejuvenation Centre, recommends “a laser treatment plan” timed around a “pre-holiday appointment”.

Combining treatments

Combine treatments for a more comprehensive approach

A single treatment can go a long way, but a plan can go further.

Many providers also think carefully about what to pair with it, especially when downtime is a concern.

For example, to some practitioners, laser treatments are simply part of a broader regenerative strategy.

Dr. Eliza Parker at Cadella Aesthetics recommends building “...regenerative momentum by adding more laser coordinated with peptides,” which are designed to support recovery and skin quality.

Beyond laser add-ons, a well-timed plan might pair resurfacing for tone and texture with neuromodulators to soften expression lines, plus skin-tightening treatments that support collagen production. The key is to layer treatments that complement one another with guidance from experienced providers.

Planning for next summer

Start planning for next summer and beyond

Some treatment plans are built to pay off well beyond the holidays.

Biostimulators such as Sculptra, an injectable, encourage the body to produce collagen gradually, which can mean more noticeable improvements by spring or summer.

Lindsey Taylor, a nurse practitioner at Faces of Tampa Bay, recommends “biostimulation with Sculptra or collagen-boosting and lifting modalities such as Sofwave,” including for patients using GLP-1 medications.

These treatments cannot replace lost facial volume in every case, but they may form part of a personalized strategy to support the skin as the face and body change.
