Sofwave

Sofwave is a non-invasive treatment that uses ultrasound energy to stimulate collagen production in the mid-dermis, lifting and firming the skin from within. Because the energy is delivered below the surface without disrupting it, the treatment is suitable for all skin tones and requires no recovery time.

Sofwave targets the mid-dermis at approximately 1.5mm depth using SUPERB (Synchronous Ultrasound Parallel Beam) technology. Controlled pulses of ultrasound heat the tissue, triggering the body's natural collagen repair response. Multiple beams are delivered in parallel, allowing for faster and more consistent coverage than single-beam devices. Collagen remodeling continues in the weeks and months following treatment, producing gradual improvement in firmness and laxity.

A cooling gel is applied before treatment to keep the skin comfortable. The handpiece is passed over the treatment area, delivering ultrasound energy in short, controlled pulses. Most patients notice a mild warmth during each pulse. Sessions take between 30 and 45 minutes. No anesthesia is required, and you can return to your normal routine immediately after.

Mild redness or warmth in the treated area is common immediately after, and typically resolves within a few hours. There is no peeling, swelling, or required downtime. Makeup can be applied the same day. Sun protection is important in the days following treatment.

Some patients notice an early improvement in the days following treatment as initial collagen contraction occurs. The primary results develop progressively over six to twelve weeks as new collagen matures, with optimal results visible at around three months. Maintenance sessions annually or biannually sustain improvement over time.

Sofwave is well suited to patients with mild to moderate skin laxity on the face, brow, jawline, neck, or décolletage who want meaningful improvement without surgery or recovery. It also works for arm and body laxity. The treatment can be combined with neuromodulators or dermal fillers in the same plan for patients managing both dynamic and structural aging concerns.
