Provider and patient in consultation discussing combining treatment approaches

Good Results Come From a Single Approach. Remarkable Ones Rarely Do.

The difference between a good result and a remarkable one isn’t usually the treatment. It’s whether the approaches are working together.

The case for combining

One approach can only take you so far

You've probably had a treatment that worked. The lines softened, the volume came back, the result was a good one. And then you've seen someone else (a friend, someone in a photo) whose result was something different. Something that read as remarkable rather than just fine. The question worth asking is what separated those two outcomes.

It usually comes down to this: volume loss, skin laxity, and muscle movement are distinct problems. They operate on different tissue layers and respond to different treatment types. Address one while leaving the others untouched, and you've answered only part of the question — which is why your result isn't mind blowing.

Combining approaches changes the ceiling of what's possible. A provider who understands how each treatment modality interacts, and how to sequence them, is working at a different level than one who offers a single treatment approach and fits every patient to it.

If your clinic is not combining treatments in the same day, you're not getting the best outcome. We routinely combine injectables and energy-based devices all in one visit. It makes the result better, sooner.

Getting more done in one visit isn't just a convenience. It's how you get remarkable results.

What multimodal looks like

Different mechanisms, one result

The term ‘multimodal’ has a clinical ring to it, but the idea is straightforward: different problems need different tools. Used together, they produce something neither achieves alone.

Filler addresses volume, rebuilding structural support where loss has hollowed the face. Neuromodulators address movement, relaxing the muscle patterns that carve lines over time. Laser and energy-based devices work on skin quality at a level neither of the injectables addresses. Done together, the result is a face that looks rested and natural — not treated.

Most patients think about only one of these. Those who address all three, with a provider skilled in delivering all three, are working with how aging actually happens.

I believe in a multimodal approach: filler, lasers, and Botox all in one day. You get a better result, and patients are more satisfied with what they see.

The best result you've seen on someone else almost certainly came from a provider doing more than one treatment at a time.

What to look for

What a clinic's range of services tells you

The services a clinic offers tell you something real about how it thinks. A clinic focused on one category has often trained deeply in that area. That's good in one respect, but it creates a limitation of scope: every patient gets evaluated through the same lens, and that's a problem because every face is different.

A clinic built around comprehensive capabilities (injectables, energy-based devices, laser, full treatment planning) has made a conscious decision to invest in the training and equipment to provide better results for their patients. These providers take the patient's complete needs into consideration. It starts from the patient's full picture and selects exactly what the patient needs from a broader toolkit. It can offer a combined approach because it's equipped to deliver one well.

So before you book, look at what's on offer. Injectables, lasers, energy-based technologies, and full treatment plans together tell you the clinic is built to give you the best outcome possible.

When you see that a clinic is offering lasers, energy-based technologies, injectables, and complete treatment plans, you know you're going somewhere dedicated to the entire spectrum, not just one thing.

Remarkable outcomes come from a unique approach based on the individual. It shouldn't be a formula — because this isn't Starbucks. It's your face.
