PRP/PPF Injections
Your own biology, put back to work.

What PRP and PPF are
PRP — platelet-rich plasma — and PPF — platelet-poor fraction — are injectable treatments derived from a small sample of your own blood. The blood is processed in a centrifuge to concentrate growth factors and bioactive proteins, which are then reintroduced into the skin or scalp. Because the treatment uses your own biology, there is no risk of allergic reaction.
How they work
Growth factors in PRP and PPF signal the body to repair and regenerate. In the skin, this translates to increased collagen production, improved texture, and a more even tone over time. In the scalp, PRP is used to stimulate dormant hair follicles. Results develop gradually as tissue responds — this is not an immediate-effect treatment, but the changes it produces are genuine and lasting.
What to expect
The process begins with a blood draw, which takes only a few minutes. The sample is centrifuged, the treatment fraction is prepared, and it is then injected into the target area. Sessions typically take thirty to forty-five minutes in total. Some redness and mild swelling at injection sites is normal and usually resolves within twenty-four to forty-eight hours. A course of three sessions spaced four to six weeks apart is commonly recommended.
Who it suits
PRP and PPF work well for people looking to improve overall skin quality, address fine lines, or support hair retention and regrowth. They are particularly suited to those who prefer treatments that work with the body rather than introducing synthetic materials. A practitioner at a Vos clinic will assess whether PRP or PPF is appropriate and whether combining it with another modality would amplify results.
Maintaining your results
A maintenance session every six to twelve months helps sustain the improvements in collagen and skin quality achieved during the initial course. For hair, maintenance intervals may vary depending on individual response. Your practitioner will review results at follow-up and advise on the right cadence for you.
