Dr. Mark Lupin is a dermatologist and the founder of Cosmedica in Victoria, British Columbia, which he established more than 20 years ago. He is internationally recognized in the field of non-surgical facial rejuvenation and a sought after lecturer on the subject. He is a Clinical Instructor with the Department of Dermatology and Skin Science at the University of British Columbia.
He is qualified in both dermatology and neurology, and studied at Indiana University, the University of Southern California, Dalhousie University, the University of Toronto, and UBC. He completed additional training at St John's Hospital in London, England, in the subspecialty field of photodermatology — the interaction of light and skin. He is a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada, a Diplomate of the American Board of Dermatology, a Fellow of the American Society of Laser Medicine and Surgery, and a past President of the Canadian Laser Aesthetic Surgery Society.
Dr. Lupin was one of the first physicians in Canada to use Botox cosmetically, beginning in 1993, and is a preceptor to other physicians in laser safety, advanced technique, and laser physics. He has many publications to his name and is frequently quoted as an expert in the media. He is dedicated to his patients and to the advancement of best practices.
Outside medicine, Dr. Lupin is a classical violinist who performs as a soloist and as Concertmaster of the World Doctors Orchestra, which donates all concert proceeds to medical charities.
